What an exciting thing- to have a nice, bright office area complete with sink, phone and big cupboards! A huge window looks out onto the library room. It's kind of like in the cop shows where the chief is in his office behind glass. OK enough of that.
The reality is that this office is a space shared by the teachers. At lunch and throughout the day teachers come in to use the phone. I want to make this place for them. I keep a pad and pencils handy. I clear off the countertop for the phone book. I provide nice chairs with arm-rests. I keep the place tidy. This is my goal.
One day I might have it so organized that a small conference table can be set up in there, and teachers will want to meet in there to plan and coordinate together. It is such a NICE place because it's on the quiet side of the school and the windows are huge, looking out onto the green green grass!
Some things are too good to be true, and too good to be hoarded!
