The Little Messes

The little messes need to be dealt with ASAP, or they quickly become BIG messes! I'm talking about the little piles of books that get pulled out and left on top of a stack or at the end. These start to fall out onto the floor, then they get kicked around, etc. Got to stay on top of that.

Another little mess that happens is that books get out of order, bit by bit. On about a monthly basis I need to tackle this straightening job. Some areas of the non-fiction shelves get a lot of traffic and they need extra TLC. I'm learning that this is part of the job. It's the kind of maintenance that makes the difference.

Storage is an ongoing challenge. Storage of student materials such as scissors, pencils, rulers, crayons, paper. I'll need to get some kind of cupboards with multiple shelves and closing doors to deal with this. Right now I'm falling all over stuff, and I don't want to leave it out on table tops!
